Part Procurement Process
Send drawings of your parts to SDI. Preferred files are .pdf files, SolidWorks files, Microstation files, and paper copies. For photos .jpg is the most common, but we can read most photo file types. All photos of parts should be taken next to a tape measure or scale. We work specifically with SolidWorks. We have the ability to read most files but conversions of other drawing file types including .dwg files are not guaranteed to convert 100% into our cad systems due to frequent translator changes provided by all CAD industry software programs.

Quote will be returned for your review promptly. Rush quotations are available but please limit this to true emergencies.
When you accept the quote, e-mail or fax a purchase order to us.
Parts will be delivered to you.
Part Procurement General Information
Payment terms are net 30 days with 10% processing fee’s added every 30-day cycle.
Parts that are ordered from SDI through the Part Procurement Service are guaranteed to be accurate per the supplied drawings. If the parts do not function properly due to dimensional inconsistencies between the drawing and the machined part, SDI will have the parts repaired or replaced as needed at no cost to the customer. SDI liabilities are limited to the direct costs of repairing or replacing the parts that were ordered. We are not responsible for any other losses indirectly involved with any part failures.
