Reverse Engineering Process
Email to us your photographs of your parts next to a tape measure or scale at cadbetsy@sdiworks.com with your company name in the title or fax your paper copies to us at 610-378-5040. Please make sure they are clear photos.

We will then return a quote back to you for your review.
When you accept the quote, e-mail or fax a purchase order to us.

Deliver or ship the parts to us. If the parts are too large or the parts cannot be shipped, then special arrangements will be made for on-site work to be completed. These conditions will be indicated on the quotation form.
We will send the computer models and/or drawings to you for your review. We do not keep the drawings; you OWN the drawings at this point and are free to do whatever you like with them.
You will receive .pdf files and all SolidWorks files. We work specifically with SolidWorks. All other drawing file types including .dwg files are not guaranteed to convert from SolidWorks due to frequent translator changes provided by all CAD industry software programs.
After the models/drawings are accepted, we will ship or deliver the parts back to you.
At your request, part procurement services can be activated after the drawings are accepted. Part procurement quotations cannot be done without completed technical drawings.
Reverse Engineering General Notes
Payment terms are net 30 days with 10% processing fee’s added every 30-day cycle.
SDI liabilities are as follows: If parts are damaged or heavily worn we cannot guarantee dimensional accuracy and we are not responsible for any costs involved with the manufacturing of those replacement parts. If parts have been used and are in good working condition we will guarantee dimensional accuracy per our drawings for the first set of parts ordered up to a limitation of 100% of SDI charges directly involved with those drawings per our final invoice. If parts are new or if we create new designs we will guarantee dimensional accuracy per our drawings for the first set of parts ordered up to a limitation of 200% of SDI charges directly involved with those drawings per our final invoice.
Parts that are ordered from SDI through the Part Procurement Service are guaranteed to be accurate per the supplied drawings. If the parts do not function properly due to dimensional inconsistencies between the drawing and the machined part, SDI will have the parts repaired or replaced as needed at no cost to the customer. SDI liabilities are limited to the direct costs of repairing or replacing the parts that were ordered. We are not responsible for any other losses indirectly involved with any part failures.

3-D Modeling Process
Send drawings to us at cadbetsy@sdiworks.com with your company name in the title or fax your paper copies to us at 610-378-5040. Preferred files .pdf files and paper drawings. We work specifically with SolidWorks. We have the ability to read most files but conversions of other drawing file types including .dwg files are not guaranteed to convert 100% into our cad systems due to frequent translator changes provided by all CAD industry software programs.
We will send the SolidWorks models/drawings to you for your review. We do not keep the drawings; you OWN the drawings at this point and are free to do whatever you like with them.
You will receive .pdf files and all SolidWorks files. Free software is available to review the model/drawing files. The SolidWorks modeling files (or special export files) can be downloaded into CNC machines. We work specifically with SolidWorks. All other drawing file types including .dwg files are not guaranteed to convert form SolidWorks due to frequent translator changes provided by all CAD industry software programs.

SDI is not responsible for any dimensional inaccuracies of any drawings or sketches supplied to SDI. Parts that are ordered from SDI through the Part Procurement Service are guaranteed to be accurate per the supplied models.
